We had what I hope is our first and only false alarm Saturday night for Little Man’s delivery.
I’m ready to have a baby (we’re blessedly full-term now).
After 2 hours of 3 minute apart contractions and 1 hour of 2 minute apart/1 minute long contractions, we went into triage. It was SERIOUS. We were hopeful that this was it! Alas, I didn’t progress past a 3 and 80% effaced, so I was sent home (still contracting). I spent that night having 5 minute apart contractions and most of Sunday with 10 minute apart contractions.
We’re hoping my body has a day or two to recover (so sore!), but after Christmas, we’re ready to meet this little guy.
I’ve never felt so much compassion for Mary riding into Bethlehem.
Merry Christmas, dear reader. If you have 5 minutes, this is one of my favorite depictions of the Nativity and Christmas messages of hope. I hope you enjoy it!
