This week has been a WILD ride, but I’m so grateful to still be here and for YOU to still be here. Thank you so much!
On Wednesday morning, I woke up and my blog was broken. Like, BROKEN. I spent a lot of the day (about 6 hours) on the phone with my host trying to get things figured out. Although all evidence pointed toward their server being to blame, they continued to shrug their shoulders and point the finger back at me, offering no support and leaving me more or less helpless.
Thursday morning (after much panicking and frantically asking blogger friends for help), I was connected to a great developer who was able to get me switched over to a new host which immediately fixed almost everything.
There are still a few bugs and kinks to figure out (a few plug-ins to fix and some images to restore), but I’m hopeful that in a few days’ time, we’ll have everything back to normal and running smoothly.
I’ve carefully backed up my site regularly, but at one point during all of this, I was told it could all just be gone. The idea that my little space might be lost was such a grief-filled moment. I love so much what I do. This blog has been healing, fulfilling, engaging, encouraging, and so full of love and light for me over the last 9 years. The thought that it could all just disappear was so awful.
I absolutely LOVE waking up in the morning knowing that I always have something new to learn, practice, write about, photograph, or see with new eyes. I love sharing stories and writing posts. I love reading comments and I’m so grateful for the friendships I’ve formed over the years through this magical thing I get to do.
Thank you SO MUCH for your patience and kindness as things have been a mess here the past few days, but even more for all the love, light, and support you’ve shared with me in the 9 years I’ve been doing this. I’m so glad to be back!
With all that chaos, there isn’t a Five Fact Friday up for today, but I do plan to send out the weekly newsletter tonight as usual, around 6pm PST. I’ll be back to regular posting next week, and (fingers super duper crossed), it’ll be smooth sailing from there. THANK YOU, friends!
