My blogging has been sporadic at best this year, and much of it has been little blurbs rather than a detailed chronicle of our lives. The truth is, much of what’s gone on in our lives this year has been personal and not really something to share with the world through the blog.
Despite the challenges and life events we’ve gone through this year, there have been some great rewards and experiences. We both finished internships, I graduated, we moved a few times, and met some great people. We had lots of visits with family and a lot of fun projects.
Here are some of our favorites of 2009:
Bests and Favorites:
Author: J.K. Rowling (Michael finally got to read the rest of the Harry Potter series this summer)
Movie seen in the theater: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. (Honorable mention: Up)
TV Series: Leverage
Song: Single Ladies by Beyonce
Ingredient: Chorizo (why? Oh, just because of these). (Honorable Mention: cheese–specifically Parmigiano Reggiano, aged white cheddar, and Jarlsberg)
Gift: The Wii. It was a present we gave to ourselves after many months of careful saving. (Honorable Mention: Netflix. HIGHLY recommended)
Restaurant: Goodwood BBQ. Oh baby. If you ever go, order the Honey-Stung Chicken Sandwich with steak fries. Believe me.
Project: The quiet book. Look here if you missed it.
Snack: Kettle chips. (Honorable Mention: Kettle Corn).
Whelp, that about wraps it up folks. Adios 2009–thanks for the laughs, but we won’t really miss you.
