Blood Orange Mocktail – these naturally sweetened citrus mocktails are perfect for the holidays. Make the most of citrus season with these gorgeous non-alcoholic blood orange cocktails! (Paleo + Vegan!)

Ingredients

Scale

TO MAKE ONE BLOOD ORANGE MOCKTAIL:

  • A few ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup blood orange juice* (from about 2 blood oranges)
  • 1/21 tsp. fresh lime juice
  • 1/21 tsp. agave (if needed)
  • 1/3 cup sparkling water
  • 34 mint leaves
  • A few slices of blood orange and/or lime

TO MAKE A PITCHER (ABOUT 4 CUPS):

  • About 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 cups blood orange juice (from about 8 oranges)
  • 24 tsp. fresh lime juice
  • 24 tsp. agave (if needed)
  • 1 1/3 cup sparkling water
  • 810 mint leaves
  • A few slices of blood orange and/or lime, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

FOR ONE MOCKTAIL:

  1. Place a few ice cubes in an 8-12 oz. glass
  2. Add blood orange juice, fresh lime juice, and agave. (Taste your blood orange juice before adding the agave. Sometimes it’s super sweet juice, other times, it’s tart. That’ll help you determine how much sweetener you might need.)
  3. Stir to combine.
  4. Top off with 1/3 cup sparkling water. (You can go up to 1/2 cup sparkling water, if desired)
  5. Garnish with mint leaves and citrus slices

FOR A PITCHER:

  1. Place ice cubes in a pitcher with at least 1 quart (4 cups) capacity.
  2. Add blood orange juice, fresh lime juice, and agave. (Taste your blood orange juice before adding the agave. Sometimes it’s super sweet juice, other times, it’s tart. That’ll help you determine how much sweetener you might need.)
  3. Stir to combine.
  4. Top off with sparkling water.
  5. Garnish with mint leaves and citrus slices

Notes

*BLOOD ORANGE ALTERNATIVES: If blood oranges are out of season, you can use Cara Cara oranges, navel oranges, or any other ripe, fresh orange. Fresh clementine or tangerine juice also works!
