1. When it rains, it pours.
Overused and tired though I know it is, this expression has felt a little bit true this week. Sophie had a big step backward medically last Friday and it’s been a scary week. We’ve had to go back to the awful medicine to keep her body under control, and I pray that we can sort out the right dosage for her soon.
2. And still the sun shines.
Despite the difficulty, I’m always amazed at how resilient (about some things) my children are. We’ve still had lots of impromptu song and dance performances, read some beautiful picture books, and there’s been lots of laughing between Sophie and Milo. Honeycrisp apples were even back at the market this week! I’m so grateful for the good things to temper the rough ones.
5. Keeping it cool.
The other awesome thing my kids have started doing is that they’ve decided it’s now a tradition to wear sunglasses and take a picture before checking the mail. And yes, that’s Sophie in pajamas in the middle of the afternoon. (A tragic spill, etc.)
p.s. Thank you for all your kind shares, comment, and likes for the last few posts. I don’t usually have that many sponsored posts back to back, and I appreciate your warm reception. I choose these collaborations carefully and only accept work for products I use and love. These posts really help our family and I’m so grateful for how kind you’ve been!
