Five Fact Friday – Back to school and the week went by so fast I don’t think I took a single picture on my “real” camera! Here are bits and bites from the week.
All that to say, we both missed Miss Carly this week, but things worked out for Milo in his new school! The first day was a little iffy, but the second day got better, and I’m hoping today is even better. Helping children develop grit is one of those things that’s so easy on paper, but so hard when you’re watching them do something hard! I’m grateful we have such a nice teacher (and a class pet named Cupcake) to ease the transition!
4. Buddies. One thing that was hard for both kids was losing out on all the one-on-one time they’ve had together all summer long. Milo DEFINITELY missed having Sophie home on the days he wasn’t in school, and they were quick to play together as soon as she got home every day. Milo’s love language is totally quality time, so I did my best to fill in the gaps while she was gone, but let’s be honest: I’m no substitute for Soph!
The weekly newsletter is going out tonight around 6pm PST! I’ve got some fun things to share, and hope you’re signed up for the emails!
Happy Weekend, dear reader!
Wishing you every good thing!
