2. Less-good news: Sophie is rolling from back to front now. She’s doing it like gangbusters these days, which means she wants to keep practicing all the time. That means when she’s in her crib for naps or at night. It’s REALLY funny, but has also made her sleep a bit tricky. She’s also inexplicably lost the ability to roll from tummy to back (which she’d been doing for about a month and a half sporadically). She’s SO pleased with herself when she makes it from back to tummy, but then gets “stuck” and gives up. She won’t even TRY to roll from tummy to back anymore. Did this happen to anyone else’s baby?
3. Her 4-month check-up went very well. She was a champ with her shots, and she’s healthy, happy, squishy girl! We’re also almost done with our allergy testing. So far, eggs have fouled out, but dairy, soy, and corn have been fine. Yay! Just a few things left to test.
4. Her love of water bottles continues. She finds them with her eyes and follows them EVERYWHERE. They’re better than any toy we have. No matter what she’s busy with, if she spots a water bottle, it has her complete attention. So funny.
5. We’re starting solids in about a week. Any tips or tricks from you moms out there? I plan on making her fruits and vegetables myself. Our pediatrician is great, but didn’t give us very much by way of specific instructions. I’m feeling a bit nervous about knowing when and how much to give. Should be an interesting transition. I can’t wait to see how she does!
