Happy Weekend + Weekend Links!

Happy Weekend + Weekend Links – Some fun feature posts that popped up this week, a few accounts I’m loving, a great tip for masks, and more!

Bouquets of flowers at trade joe's

We realized at dinner last night we have 2 full weeks left of summer break before our school starts back up (with distance learning) again for the new school year. (We’re on a modified year-round schedule, so we start early!)

It’s nuts to me that summer break is almost over and we haven’t really left the house since spring break started. I’m sure I’m not the only one in that boat!

In our last few weeks, we have movie nights, plenty of popsicles, some games, and pool afternoons left to tuck in. What about you? Is school going to start back up where you live? Are you starting in-person or doing distance-learning? I’d love to hear all about it!

Now, for some links to send you into the weekend…

One Lovely Life Spotted In the Wild!

Getting into the looks from Fashion Jackson lately. She wears a lot of what I’ll call elevated basics–a pretty consistent neutral palette with fun details like eyelet, embroidery, fun cut-outs or interesting sleeves, etc. (Natalie Borton is another favorite for this kind of style. Plus, I love all the body positivity content she shares!)

A great trick for helping a mask fit better. (This is easy!)

Reading, reading, reading. I finished Jim Gaffigan’s wife Jeannie’s book When Life Gives You Pears and a re-read of The Proposal this week, and I’m ready to dive into something new. Preferably light, fluffy summery books, since I’ve got a thick stack of non-fiction books I’m working on, too. Reading through this list of 30 Summer Reads and thinking I might go for this one next. (It’s been getting so much buzz!)

We still can’t go to Disneyland, but we *can* make Disneyland Main Street out of paper

This board and batten wall looks GORGEOUS. I want to try something like this in my house! (While you’re on her blog, check out her guide for the perfect blue-red lipstick!)

Want to try a fun treat this weekend? The Kitchn is spilling all their secrets for a perfect milkshake. (It would totally work with dairy-free ingredients!)

Young House Love mentioned this popcorn brand this week and I want to order ALL the flavors.

WHAT ARE YOU LOVING THIS WEEK?
I’D LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT IT!
