Help me, Rhonda.

Help, help me, Rhonda.

The recipes-to-post backup is getting out of control. I’ve really just been trying to be consistent in my posting. Every other day seems to be more reasonable than every day, so I’ve been trying to space things out. But I kid you not, I’m about 10 recipes behind.

Still, when I tried this frozen yogurt this weekend, it jumped ahead of the queue. Because it was THAT GOOD, dear reader.

It was close-your-eyes, hold-it-on-your-tongue-to-let-it-melt, I can’t-believe-I’m-having-thirds good.

That good.

Thankfully, it’s low-calorie and low-fat, and oh baby, is it good. I triple dog dare you to try to make this last. Seriously, go ahead and try.

Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3c strawberries, hulled and diced
  • 1 1/2c whole milk plain yogurt
  • 3/4c sugar
  • 2 tsp lemon or lime juice (use fresh)
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Puree all ingredients in a blender or food processor until well combined and smooth. Pour into a bowl, cover, and refrigerate 1-2 hours or until well chilled. Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s directions (in my model, I ran it for about 25 minutes). Transfer to an airtight container and freeze in freezer at least 2 hours before serving.
  2. Makes about 1 1/4 quarts

  1. Yummy! That looks ‘so refreshing’ – almost as good as taking a turn around the room. . .

I’m keeping tabs on the recipes that I will be trying out when I get my own equipment back. This is one of those recipes!

  2. Hi Emily…thanks for stopping by my blog! So to answer your questions…so far sheets for backs have held up great. I’m sure the color will fade over time, but it will with cotton fabric too. I only use 100% cotton sheets and the weave is tight, so its probably even better. And I do quilt all my own quilts, unless I make a king or queen size which I don’t do very often..then I send those out to a long arm quilter. Hope that helps and thanks for saying hi! -Allison

  3. In preparation for national icecream day on Sunday( we celebrate awesome holidays like this one), I am attempting to make this recipe and your chocolate brownie almond icecream! I’ve never made icecream before so hopefully it goes well!
