Thanks to my sister Elisabeth, who is friends with everyone, I have a new blog friend. Her name is Anna. She is what you might call a Maven. Well, at least you would if you had read the book The Tipping Point. A Maven knows everything about everything. And if they don’t, they know someone who does or know how to find out for you.
Anna knows about everything. If she doesn’t know, she finds out. She knows how to, and does, find out about anything that interests her or her friends. If you want to know anything fun, ask Anna. She finds great deals, cute websites, crafty inspiration, fascinating photography blogs, and lots of great how-to’s you might find interesting. Not only is she incredibly creative, she also knows about a lot of other important things like foreign aid, technology, and politics.
I also must point out, because it makes my little heart happy, that Anna is the only other human being I know who had my same wedding dress. And, although, I’ll be the first one to admit, it looks better on her, I think it fit us both very nicely and differently. And she had a fantastic wedding photographer, so her pictures are SO fun to look through.
I’m pretty sure that if we had known each other before each of us was married, we would have been great roomates. This may be embarassing, but I consider her one of my funnest friends. Only embarassing in the fact that we’ve never actually met each other.
Anyway, her blog is SO fun (I check it at least once a day), that I wanted to share it with you.
Brief highlights of my favorite Anna finds:
1. Anna made cloth diapers. I really respect it. Not sure if I’m ready to commit, but they’re adorable and eco-friendly. And a LOT of hard work.
2. Anna inspired me to make Christmas stockings.
3. She does adventurous things! Like learning to run when she hated it. That’s a serious accomplishment!
4. Anna shares my passion for organization, bargain shopping… and looking at modern nurseries. Neither of us is expecting, but we love looking at cute nurseries. I especially liked this one and this one.
Believe me people, this is just a VERY small sampling of what Anna can do! I love love love her blog, and you should too. Check it out here. I promise, you’ll be addicted.
