Description

Almond Flour Chicken Tenders – These healthy chicken tenders are breaded with seasoned almond flour and cooked to perfection. Enjoy them on their own, or try them with one of our recommended dipping sauces below! (Paleo, Whole30, Gluten-Free)

Ingredients

Scale

For Paleo Almond Flour Chicken Tenders:

  • 1 1/2 lbs. chicken tenders
  • 1 1/4 cup blanched almond flour
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried dill (or 1/2 Tbsp. fresh)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Frank’s red hot sauce (or milk or other favorite hot sauce)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place a wire cooling rack over a baking sheet and mist lightly with spray oil.
  2. First, mix up your almond flour breading. In a shallow bowl, combine almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, salt, and pepper. Stir with a fork or whisk until well combined. Set aside.
  3. Next, make the egg mixture. In another shallow bowl, combine egg and hot sauce. Stir until well blended.
  4. Set up your breading station. Line up the egg mixture bowl, the flour mixture bowl, and the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bread the chicken tenders. Dip each chicken tender first in the egg mixture (let excess egg drip off), then add to flour mixture. Coat well on all sides with flour mixture. Then, place on baking sheet. Repeat with all chicken tenders. Make sure none of the chicken tenders are touching to allow the best air circulation. (More air circulation = more crispy chicken tenders)
  6. Mist with oil. Lightly mist the chicken tenders with spray oil.
  7. Bake the chicken tenders! Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until a meat thermometer registers 165 degrees F. when inserted in the thickest part of the chicken tender.
  8. Serve with your favorite sauces!
