Homemade Italian Seasoning

Description

This easy Italian herbs blend is SO much better than store-bought! 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Tbsp. dried basil
  • 1 Tbsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 Tbsp. garlic flakes (or garlic powder)
  • 1/2 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp. dried rosemary
  • 1/2 Tbsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or jar, combine basil, oregano, garlic flakes, onion powder, rosemary, thyme, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Whisk the spices to combine (or cover your jar with a lid and shake until well blended)
  3. Transfer to a small jar or airtight container, as needed.
  4. Store at room temperature up to 1 year.
  5. Use for potatoes, roasted vegetables, pasta sauce, pizza, marinades, salad dressings, and more!

Notes

Variations To Try:

  • Swap the red pepper flakes for black pepper
  • Add 1/2 Tbsp. rubbed sage
  • Add 1/2 tsp. fennel
