Hey friend! You’re here because you were searching for a post that included our family.
When I started blogging in 2008, it was literally just for friends and family to keep up with us. It felt like a safe, close-knit community of people we actually knew in real life.
Over the years, my blog grew. This was really exciting from a business perspective, but over time, I grew increasingly uncomfortable with sharing about my kids online.
There are a lot of reasons for this, but the biggest one is that my kids couldn’t consent to anything I shared about them here when they were tiny. Even now that they’re a little older, I still don’t feel like they can possibly have a full grasp of what it means to have things posted about them online, whether that’s pictures or stories, or anecdotes about their lives. It’s something so many of us are still learning as adults!
While connecting with other parents felt like a lifeline as I was going through that stage in my life, my feelings about sharing about my kids have changed over the years, and I no longer feel comfortable having those old posts and photos published.
There will still be a few posts here and there that we’ll keep up, and you may see a photo or two on occasion, but for the most part we’ll be transitioning theses kinds of posts as offline as we can over time.
But We Can Still Connect In Other Ways:
In the meantime, I’d still love to find other ways we can connect!
Thank you so much for your interest, support, and respect as we make this transition.
