sweet-glazed carrots

This is my go-to recipe for cooked carrots. It’s simple, has few ingredients, and goes with almost any dish. You can make it with either baby carrots or carrots cut into coins.

Don’t be afraid of the butter and sugar. It’s spread out enough that these carrots are under 100 calories a serving.

Sweet-Glazed Carrots
Printable Recipe:

1 lb. carrots
1 1/2 Tbsp butter
2-3 Tbsp brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Place carrots in a saucepan and fill with just enough water to cover the carrots. Bring to a boil and cook 4-5 minutes or till crisp-tender. Drain. Stir in butter and sugar. Salt and pepper to taste.

Makes 4 servings.
