It’s still summer, so we’re still riding the popsicle train!

With temperatures well over 100 and our monsoon season humidity creeping in, we’re looking for ALL the ways to cool down in the afternoons, and popsicles will forever be one of our favorites. There are SO MANY FLAVORS to choose from that we never get bored. (And I love squeezing fruit into our snacks!)

These creamy peach popsicles are our newest flavor creation. They channel everything I love about peaches and cream into a delicious, summery popsicle that’s PERFECT on a hot day.

Here’s what you need to make them…

HERE’S WHAT I PUT IN MY CREAMY PEACH POPSICLES:

FRESH OR FROZEN PEACHES. The base for these creamy peach popsicles is plenty of peaches! You can use fresh or frozen peaches for this peach popsicle recipe. (You can also use nectarines if peaches aren’t looking great.) I love to freeze my own in the summer when they’re so ripe and beautiful at the store!

A LITTLE BANANA (OR MORE PEACHES). A little ripe banana can add some more fruity sweetness, but I know not everyone’s a banana fan. You can absolutely use more peaches (1/2 cup should do the trick!) or even some mango instead.

PLAIN YOGURT (I USE DAIRY-FREE). Then, we pack in some healthy fats and proteins with yogurt to balance out the nutrition and flavor profile in these peach popsicles. We’re dairy-free, so we use dairy-free yogurt, but you can use any kind you like. I usually use plain yogurt to help keep the added sugar down, but you can feel free to use sweetened vanilla or peach yogurt if you like! (See the FAQ for our favorite dairy-free yogurt brands!)

HONEY, AGAVE, OR PURE MAPLE SYRUP. Since we’re using plain yogurt, I typically add a tablespoon or two of honey, agave, or pure maple syrup. (Use agave or maple syrup if you’re vegan!) If you’re using sweetened yogurt, you probably won’t need any additional sweetness, but let your tastebuds be your guide.

A FEW DROPS OF ALMOND EXTRACT. To play up the peach flavor, I love adding a few drops of almond extract to my peach popsicles. It’s amazing what it does to punch it up a notch! Don’t have it? Don’t like it? Feel free to skip it!

FAQ + TIPS & TRICKS FOR THE BEST PEACH POPSICLES:

OUR FAVORITE POPSICLE MOLD. Our all-time favorite popsicle mold is this one. It has 10 slots of popsicles and comes with a lid that holds the sticks in place as they freeze. I use it for all our popsicle recipes! We also like these little popsicle zipper bags for Otter-pop-style peach popsicles!

HOW TO GET POPSICLES OUT OF A POPSICLE MOLD EASILY. If you’re new to making your own popsicles, you may not know how to get your popsicles out of the mold. I run the outside of the popsicle mold under cold water for a few seconds (typically one popsicle slot at a time), then I grab the popsicle stick in one hand and gently wiggle the popsicle side-to-side to loosen it from the mold. If it’s not sliding out easily, run it under cold water for a few more seconds and try again. This works for me every time!

HOW TO MAKE PEACH POPSICLES WITHOUT A POPSICLE MOLD. Don’t have a popsicle mold? You can still make peach popsicles! I pour the popsicle mixture into small paper cups and cover the cups with foil. Then, I insert the popsicle sticks through the foil in the center of the cups. (The foil will help hold the stick upright in the freezer). Then, I place the cups on a stable surface (like a cutting board, plate, or baking sheet) while freezing so the cups don’t tip over as they freeze. Let them freeze completely, then just peel away the paper cup and foil!

OUR FAVORITE DAIRY-FREE YOGURTS. If, like us, you’re looking for yummy dairy-free yogurt, we like Culina, CoYo (NOT CoCoYo), and SoDelicious brands. Coconut Collaborative, Yoplait, and Chobani also have dairy options that are tasty!

GIVE IT A PROTEIN BOOST! Feel free to add a little collagen protein (dairy-free, paleo) or hemp seed (vegan, paleo) for some added protein! It blends right in and gives these peach pops a little extra staying power.

Description

Creamy Peach Popsicles – These peaches-and-cream popsicles are made from healthy ingredients and SURE to please when the weather heats up! (Gluten-Free, Paleo, Vegan)

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 heaping cups sliced peaches (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 ripe banana (or 1/2 cup additional peaches or mango)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (dairy-free, as needed)
  • 12 Tbsp. honey, agave, or pure maple syrup
  • 1/8 tsp. almond extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place peaches, banana, yogurt, sweetener, and almond extract in a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until completely smooth.
  3. Taste and add additional sweetener or almond extract, as desired.
  4. Pour into popsicle mold, cover with lids (if applicable), and insert sticks.
  5. Freeze 3-4 hours, or until completely solid.
  6. To remove popsicles from mold, run outside of popsicle mold under cold water for 10-20 seconds (I work one popsicle at a time). Then, hold onto the stick of the popsicle with one hand and the popsicle mold with the other. Gently wiggle the stick side to side to loosen popsicle from mold. If it’s not coming out, run the outside of the mold under water a few seconds longer and try again.

Notes

PROTEIN BOOST. Feel free to add a scoop or two of collagen for added protein for a dairy-free & paleo option! Or, add 1-2 Tbsp, hemp hearts for a vegan option.

DON’T MIND A LITTLE TEXTURE? TRY THIS! If you won’t mind a little texture, try only pureeing 2 cups of the peaches, then slice, dice, or mash the remaining cup of peaches and stir into the peach popsicle mixture by hand. This can look pretty and make a fun change of pace from perfectly smooth pops.

  1. I whipped these up this afternoon. I left the skin on because I wasn’t sure. They are delicious! I ate some extra that was partially frozen (I only have 8 small molds). Can’t wait for them to be ready!
